Milo is generally good with other dogs, but he sometimes tried to be the "alpha" male with other large male dogs. For this reason, Milo is best suited for a home with an active female companion dog, or as an only dog.
Now, for the good part. Milo LOVES people. He is a very friendly, playful, happy boy, and he loves active play in the yard. He also loves to be snuggled with his people, and inside lounging on his bed. He's a very typical Great Dane - happy and quiet in the house, and has spurts of hilarious energy when out. Milo is immaculately housetrained, and is not currently crated when left alone. For some reason, his dog beds do occasionally spontaneously combust, but we've been working hard on this and his current record is 34 days with an intact dog bed :)
Milo's adoption requires a private, physically fenced yard. Sorry, we do't adopt to apartments with community dog areas, and we don't allow any type of shock fencing. A physical fence is required for ALL adoptions through Almost Home. Please don't ask to be the exception.
Milo will be adopted within one hour's drive of Murfreesboro, TN. This is both due to our home visit requirement (completed by the dog's actual foster), and due to the fact that we want to be able to retrieve our dogs quickly should the placement not work out. Please, don't ask to be the exception.
