I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, not good with kids, and not good with cats.
Hi there! My name is Erwin and I am a handsome boy who's been homeless for far too long! I came to Pawmetto Lifeline in the spring of 2015 emaciated, terrified of people, likely physically abused, and heartworm positive. I have transformed incredibly since I have been at Pawmetto, but I can be wary of strangers. I enjoy long walks and playtime with my stuffed toys. I even play in a baby pool, which the staff thinks is so adorable! I prefer to be the only furry friend in your life, and children are not quite my style. I would do best in a quieter home; I sure like peace and quiet. A fenced yard is very much preferred, as well, for when I play outdoors and potty. Thank you for reading more about me!
My adoption fee includes my neuter surgery, deworming, microchip, up-to-date vaccinations, and my heartworm test. I've even started on my monthly flea and heartworm preventatives - what more could you ask for? I am also a part of the priority adoption program at Pawmetto Lifeline. Please contact Pawmetto Lifeline at (803) 465-9170 to find out more about adopting me. You can learn more at http://www.pawmettolifeline.org/adopt/priority_adoptions/ today!
Pawmetto Lifeline is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit animal rescue organization solving pet overpopulation in the Midlands. There are over 20,000 homeless pets in the Midlands and over 17,000 are euthanized each year. Our plan uniquely positions us to correct this problem through four distinct initiatives: Adoption, Medical, Rescue Collaboration, and Education efforts.
Come Meet Our Pets...
Pawmetto Lifeline is open for adoptions Monday-Friday from 12 noon-7 pm, Saturday from 10 am-7 pm and Sunday from 12 noon-5 pm. Some cats are also available for adoption daily at all Petsmart locations in the Columbia area. (Currently there are Petsmart locations in Harbison, Lexington and the Northeast on Two Notch Road.)
Our Adoption Process...
All prospective adopters are required to complete an application and go through a short interview process. Once approved the adoption fees are paid and the adopter is able to bring the pet home the same day.
Adoption fees for cats and kittens are $100 and include their spay or neuter, all vaccinations appropriate for their age and they are microchipped.
Adoption fees for dogs and puppies start at $150 and include their spay or neuter, all vaccinations appropriate for their age and they are microchipped.
Thank You! Your message has been sent to Pawmetto Lifeline.
You'll receive a copy, too, at
to help you keep track of which pets you've inquired about, and which shelters and rescues you've emailed.
NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter!
Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures,
