I am already neutered, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.
My name is Sammy, and I am not quite sure how I ended up here! I was living in a nice home, but my owner's son became ill and she had to take me to the shelter. I knew things weren't looking good when the shelter person told my owner that there was no room...but that they'd take me anyway, Did not like the sounds of that being an adult kitty. I was a bit panicked as you can imagine! Luckily, a kind lady and her daughter, who just happened to be there in the lobby, recognized the dire situation and took me home. As long time Humane Tomorrow volunteers, they reached out and now I have a chance to find my forever family while living in foster care. I am a sweet boy, about 7 years old - healthy and fit! I also have a rather handsome coat, if I do say so, with a white chest and striking white socks. My eyes are large and golden. You can imagine with all the moving around that I might come across as a little shy. And indeed, I will probably hide for a bit, even in my new home. But once I am comfortable, and I know that I am not going anywhere, I'll come out and rub your legs and purr and purr and purr. I am happy, laid-back, and easy going. I don't mind dogs, and I would do well with children. Mostly, I hope to find a family that will offer kindness and love. I'd like to settle in and know that I am home for good!
Humane Tomorrow is a non-profit 501(c), all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of unwanted and abused animals in Flower Mound and the surrounding areas. We are also committed to spay/neuter assistance and education to companion animal guardians.
We do not have a shelter, so all animals in our program are placed in temporary foster homes until permanent homes can be found.
We have Adopt A Pets on the second and forth Saturday each month at
Petsmart in Flower Mound.
6060 Long Prairie Road (Hwy. 2499)
Flower Mound, Texas 75028
We also have AdoptAPurrs (cats only) at Petsmart each Sunday AFTER an Adopt A Pet.
Going North on Hwy.2499, the Petsmart will be on the right, just before Justin Road (FM407)
You can see all our animals there or, if you find an animal you just can't wait to see, call or E-mail for an appointment.
Our Adoption Process...
All potential adopters must fill out an application for the animal they want to adopt, which is available on our website. Humane Tomorrow does not do adoptions outside of the DFW Metroplex.
Our adoption fees are... Cats: $120 for kittens & cats $140 for declawed cats $100 for senior cats (10 yrs +)
Dogs: $200 for puppies and dogs $175 for senior dogs (senior depends on breed and size) Note that some dogs may have higher adoption fees if they are very adoptable or "designer" breeds
This adoption fee helps to cover the costs of basic preventative care including spay or neuter, vaccines (including Rabies and virals), heartworm tests and preventative for dogs, FeLV/FIV tests for cats, in addition to extra medical care the animal may need, such as heartworm treatment, dental, or surgery. Often our adoption fees do not even cover costs for basic medical care the animals need, and are certainly cheaper than if all these procedures were covered by the owner.
Humane Tomorrow reserves the right to deny any application for any reason.
