Well hello Mary Lou, goodbye heart! This beautiful creature came to rescue as a stray and caring mother of two puppies. She is just a year of age and on the smallish size at 60lbs. She has been living on the road, protecting her small litter. There is no telling the dangers she has endured. Upon rescue she got a big long bath and as soon as she knew her puppies were in good hands, she slept for nearly two days straight.
She is now in her cozy temporary home waiting for the perfect person to discover her. The puppies have since been homed, her job is done. She was a very good mother and deserves to land the very best home possible. In her foster home she is working on her house manners and leash walking. She is a smart girl and will prosper with continued positive reinforcement.

Mary Lou is a super sweet girl who wants to be loved. She is very gentle and gently hug you. She will need lots of reassuring as she builds confidence. Someone who is home often and accessible will suit her best. She still so young and has much to learn. Regarding other dogs, she appreciates a slow introduction and a moderate energy level in a playmate. Mary Lou is very athletic and will require either an 8' wooden fence or wrought iron fencing, as going over 6' fencing is not even a challenge for her. This sweet girl has been through a lot but still has much to give. She should be with someone who will never take for granted the road she had to take to get here. She is an amazing dog and is going to be a wonderful companion.

All our dogs require secure VISIBLE fencing.
