Masin is in a foster home and not at the shelter. Please email

Masin is an adorable pup surrendered to the shelter due to his owner acquiring too many. He arrived without a name. Masin is a sweet boy who will blossom into a magnificent companion with the right family. He walks nicely on a leash and is a sweet boy. He has lots of energy, so he will need lots of exercise. He is focused on people and interested in toys and food, so he will be a joy to train.

His foster home says, 'He's growing fast and he's such a good boy. We've crate trained him and he knows sit with hand a verbal cues. We are working on teaching him to lay down. He recently enjoyed some lake walks and evening jogs and is great at the dog park. He keeps my dogs in good shape by playing with them morning, noon and night. He has been good with all dogs he's met and he's very excited to meet other pups when he encounters them.'

Masin is a young pup who will need supervision, training, and routine like all typical puppies.

Masin was one of the dogs featured in a Zak George video on evaluating shelter dogs, so we look forward to seeing Mason with Zak on You Tube in about a week.

The Jefferson Parish Animal Shelter adoption fee is $67. The adoption fee includes vaccinations, mandatory spay/neuter, heartworm test, and microchip.
