Oakley's Story...
~Oakley~

~Boxer / Rottweiler mix
~7 years old
~Spayed Female
~UTD on shots
~Great with kids and dogs. Never been exposed to a cat.
~Loves car rides
~ReHoming Fee: $60.00

~Reason for ReHoming: Her owners had to move to Texas for work and the apartment they were moved into did not allow pets. They found a home for her with friends back in their home state but they can no longer care for her. The original owners did not want her being taken to a shelter (apparently the one in their home town is high-kill) to they went back to get her. She needs a home or Foster quickly as the are due to have a baby in Sept and cannot risk eviction.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oakley, a Rowlett Boxer/Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/Rottweiler for sale in Rowlett, or seeking a Boxer/Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Rowlett.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rowlett already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rowlett breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/Rottweiler breeders who help with Boxer/Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rowlett paves the way for another one to be saved.
