Facts about Iris

  • Breed: Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) Mix
  • Color: White - With Red, Golden, Orange Or Chestnut
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Female
Iris found herself on death row at a rural high kill shelter! She was pulled to safe just in time! Little did we know when she was pulled she was also pregnant! Just a week later she blessed us with 4 beautiful babies that have all found their forever homes! Iris is a sweet and very mellow girl! She is timid and will need a patient home. Once she gains your trust she loves to come to you for loving! She's around 2 years old and 23lbs. She's house and crate trained! She will use a doggy door. She's great with dog of all sizes! Probably would do best in a home without small children simply because they may stress her more! She's utd, hw tested and spayed!

About Wags and Whiskers

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small foster based rescue group who pulls dogs and cats from local kill shelters along the gulf coast. Our goal is to rescue these unwanted precious souls, get them healthy and happy, and then place them in their perfect forever home.

Come Meet Our Pets...

All of our dogs are in foster homes, but we are very easy and flexible to set an appointment up with to meet one of our animals. We also participate regularly at adoption events with other local rescues.

Our Adoption Process...

All adoptions are subject to adoption application and home visit/meet and greet with the potential adopters. The adoption fee is $150 for all animals which includes all age appropriate shots, wormer, heart worm test if of age, rabies if of age, spay/neuter, monthly preventatives while in our care, and any other medical attention that may be needed.
