Party (New England)'s Story...
Meet Party! This lovely gentleman came to us from a terrible hoarding situation. We were asked to help and of course we said yes! Party has been to the vet, had some much-needed dental care and now he's ready to find a loving home of his own. Party is absolutely everything we love about older dogs! He has a calm, gentle temperament and loves absolutely everybody – men, women, children, and especially other dogs. He appears to be house trained, is very quiet, and is not a barker, biter, chewer or escape artist. He loves wandering around the backyard in his foster home, sniffing every square inch of grass, and then coming in and taking a nice long nap. He loves his outings and car rides and taking little walks in the neighborhood. He's a little rickety and may have a touch of arthritis so I limit his walks to short distances, but he certainly is in no distress and has plenty of energy. He is beautifully marked in shades of black, white and gray, and is rather tall and lanky – so handsome! In terms of his behavior, Party’s the best dog in the house by far. I wish my own dogs behaved half as well as Party does! He just seems grateful for any bit of kindness shown to him and gives affection freely. He's been around children as young as three, and I have no concerns about him being rough or aggressive with anyone. He is a gentle 11 year old boy who just wants to love and be loved. The perfect home for him would be one where he gets the attention, affection and pampering he deserves but has never had. We absolutely love Party, and we know there’s someone out there who will see the special things in him that we do! (Party is being fostered in New England)
We are a group of volunteers who are dedicated to the rescue, care and re-homing of Chinese Crested dogs in need. We offer loving temporary homes, compassionate aid and veterinary care while working on finding the ideal permanent situation for each dog. We also work to educate the public so that there may be fewer Chinese Cresteds needing to come into rescue.
Our Adoption Process...
$300 adoption fee, which helps defray the cost of veterinary care-vaccinations, spaying or neutering, surgeries, heartworm treatment, etc. Adoption application must be submitted and a volunteer will screen references.
