Skittles is a young, small (6 pounds),1-year-old female calico cat. She is very affectionate and loves to be petted. She has the playfulness and high-energy of a kitten; she loves to play with toys and other cats. She's very vocal and has the cutest trill. She gets along well with our other cat, though she is somewhat dominant. Don't let her small size fool you--she is the queen of the household! She would do great with other playful cats, but she may be a little too spunky for older cats who are mellow and lazy.
We need you to know that Skittles has many food allergies, and she cannot eat most kinds of kibble, since she is allergic to poultry, fish and grains. Exposure to these foods will cause severe ear infections, biting/scratching and asthma, so great care will need to be taken with her diet. She is currently eating a rabbit-based kibble, but I think she would do best on a free-range or organic raw diet. She would do best in a home where the other cats eat the same kind of diet that she needs, since even a small amount of exposure to "regular" cat food will set off an allergic reaction. Another possibility is that she could be an outdoor cat and allowed to catch her own prey. Skittles is spayed, micro-chipped and up to date on her shots. Please contact us if you are interested in adopting this playful sweetheart.
