Hello ~~ I am Colt! They named me this because when I run I have the cutest prance like a little horse. I was surrendered by my family and saved from sure death by a local rescue on my final day at Sumter County Animal Services and I am looking for a wonderful forever home. I am medium-sized at 55 lbs., a Pit Bull mix, and incredibly handsome and healthy. I know basic commands like sit and shake, I walk on a leash, am housebroken and calm. I adore people. I'm sweet and gentle and I like girl dogs, but I am neutered and have been since I was a pup. I love to play ball and treats are my favorite! I can jump fences so I'd do best inside during the day and am fine inside a home alone. I'd most enjoy spending time near you, helping you make supper, watching TV or going on walks. I'd do best without small dogs and am not a huge fan of cats.

If you'd like to meet me and see what an outstanding dog I am to have around, please contact my human foster and make an appointment. My rescue fee is $75 and that includes all vetting (neuter, shots and I'm up to date on my flea and heartworm preventatives, I'm dewormed, and I'm heartworm negative). I'm a great guy!

Love,
Colt

About Sumter County Florida Animal Advocates, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

Our primary purpose is to network the animals at Sumter County Animal Services to save as many lives as we can. We are a 501c3 Rescue who takes the animals that no one else wanted. Our animals are in foster care to learn what living in a home is all about. They are completely vetted, house and crate trained, as well as micro-chipped spayed/neutered and up to date on shots. . We also accept the animal back at any time to ensure they are never returned to a shelter again. Our animals deserve the very best that life has to offer them.

Come Meet Our Pets...

With our animals being in foster care we make arrangements for a meet and greet outside of the foster home. We like you to meet our dog at a public dog park for the safety of everyone.

Our Adoption Process...

We have our animals for adoption which require an application through us, vet reference and a home check.

We also network the animals at Sumter County Animal Services. All adoptions at SCAS are handled by the Humane Society/SPCA of Sumter County, Inc. All applications and fees for the animals at SCAS are handled through them.
