Information

Hi! My name is Duncan and I am 10 years young. I was previously adopted but had to return to BDRA when my owner passed. I am currently living with my foster mommy and am settling in quite nicely. So, a little about me - I do steps very well; my foster mommy says that sometimes I forget that I am blind. I do love the snow; my mommy attached some pics for you. I like to rub my nose in it and hold my head up so I can feel the snow falling on me. I have two canine siblings. My favorite thing to do is snuggle with my human. My foster mom lets me lay next to her on the couch at night and she tells me what a good boy I am. Stay tuned....
Blind Dog Rescue's Board has voted to ban the use of electric fencing effective immediately.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duncan: Loves SNOW!, a Wilmington English Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Shepherd for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a English Shepherd dog from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Shepherd breeders who help with English Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
