My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This sweet girl came here with heartworms and has now had her treatment done. Her recovery went well. She is child friendly and will do well in a home with children 10 and older. She is doing well in a nice foster home until we can find her perfect forever home.

My name is Mocha.  I am a very sweet 3 to 4 year old, chocolate tri-colored female cocker girl.  A boy cocker named Sam 2 and I came to rescue from an owner who badly, neglected our vet needs, was unable to care for us financially and animal control was going to step in to get us. She quickly asked for rescue help to get us before they could come to pick us up.  The CCR rescue van drove to SC to get us. Just before the rescue lady arrived, our owner shaved us down and gave us both a quick bath.  We looked a bit better but both of us were still covered with fleas.  We were taken directly to the rescue vet where they checked me over and found that my ears had been neglected for quite some time and they were in awful shape. Several medicines are needed to treat them and I had to be treated for a bad case of fleas  I also had a small mammary tumor and needed a dental.   I had a cherry eye too that was never taken care of and it need to be removed. I was born with an under developed eye which is open but I am blind.  I am a real sweetheart despite all of my health issues that were due to neglect from my owner.  Please consider adopting me and just help me to have a good rest of my life because I deserve to be loved and cared for by someone who appreciates me for who I am.

Please, Please donate to help with my care until I can get adopted......these nice rescue people are trying to help me have a better, brighter future and eventually find a loving home where I can be cared for properly, loved and appreciated.  Your kindness of any amount that you can give is greatly appreciated to help with my care. Send in a donation to:  CCR, P.O. Box 1050, Kannapolis, NC  28081 or you can call the vet directly and tell them that you want to donate to Donna Carpenter's rescue account:  Cabarrus Animal Hospital at:  704-786-6102.

If you are interested in adopting this wonderful sweetheart, please send an email to: larrydonnacarp@aol.com for an adoption application. Our adoption fee is $300,
which includes all of the care and vetting needs for this dog while here at the rescue.
