From the Foster:
Storm is a wonderful happy and loving puppy! We love an adore her and she is having so much fun being part of a home.
She is very playful, loves to chase and wrestle with the resident dog. I would say she is more on the side of wanting to be the dominant dog in the house. Storm is very intelligent dog which is not a surprise since it is know that German Shepard’s are very smart. She will do absolutely anything for a treat- loves loves loves food. When we are eating dinner she begs to the point that she will talk at us. Storm is crate trained in the fact that she runs to the kennel when I say kennel and sits down because she knows she will get one of those amazingly yummy treats. But once I start to walk away from the kennel to leave for the day she is very sad and very vocal. I believe it’s something that could be worked on but as her foster would like her to be in a house and not an apartment.
Also she is okay on a leash we do use an easy walk which helps a lot with the pulling. Storm will not / does not want to go to the bathroom on a walk. We have had her for 3 weeks and out of those weeks she has gone pee once on a leash. Also she can easily jump a 4ft fence because she does not like being without her humans. So with that information what would be best is to have a 6ft fence or someone that does not leave her unattended outside. No tie-outs since she won’t go to the bathroom on a leash.
Storm is more cautious being introduce to new people. The best way to help storm feel comfortable is to let her acknowledge you first. It takes about 30 seconds especially if a confident dog is with her. She learns a lot from our resident dog on how to new trust people.
Storm would love to have a family that will be dedicated to training her and making sure she uses her intelligent mind through positive training! Storm would love a fenced yard preferably 6ft to run around in and a family that does not leave her alone too often because it makes her so sad. If you think you could be Storms family forever, please fill out an application.
