8-24-16 Trooper is ready for adoption. He is the sweetest dog after all he went through. He had to be trapped after being found alone with an embedded collar. He spent 13 days at a vets office. His story goes backwards from here.
UPDATE: 8-14-16 Trooper here and want everyone to see how good I'm doing, and my neck is almost completely healed but they say I will probably always have a scar from the embedded collar.
UPDATE: 7-14-16 Trooper here, wanted to tell you..I am learning lots of new things. I love to roll over on my back and roll in the grass, and get my belly rubbed at the same time, boy it feel so good. I also have lots of toys, chew bones, and today I found this orange ball that bounces and makes a squeaky noise when I bite it. I think I will be playing more with that thing. My foster mommy has to clean my neck every day, because it gets nasty under my neck, she doesn't want it to get infected. I'm a good boy, I don't even mind when she does it. I also like these little dogs, they don't seem to bother me. There's these things called kitty's...I just don't know about them, but I sure do like to bark at them.
UPDATE: 7-7-16 Now at fosters home. Getting lots of treats and love, and play time outside and meeting all kinds of new furry friends...I will get better every day, and I keep hearing that I will find me a very loving family of my very own soon!
TROOPER UPDATE 6/28: Heartworm positive (no surprise). He is doing well with his hydro and laser therapy. Once he relaxes with the water he does good. Dr Ante said we are going to be surprised how good his neck is starting to look. He is going to start on doxycycline for his HW.

About Furever Paws

About Our Rescue Group...

Our mission is to find forever homes or rescue for dogs and cats and to save as many lives as possible. We are not a rescue or a public shelter. We are a small group looking to make a difference in the life of one animal at a time, by networking to place that animal in his/her forever home or a reputable rescue. We are NOT a rescue. We pay for this by having yard sales, ebay, and various other fundraising efforts. And, we do take a large part out of our own pockets. Some of the pets you will see are shelter pets.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We do an adoption event once a month at Pet Supplies Plus in Goldsboro, NC. Usually the third or fourth Saturday of the month. We also bring our pets to other events in the city, parades or dog walks for MS or cancer. We do a big fall event in October called Paws and Pumpkins where all our dogs for adoption come and have a great day.

Our Adoption Process...

We have an adoption contract and we do home checks. Our fees are $150 per dog and $75 per cat. Kittens, not old enough for spay/neuter are $100 with $25 returned upon proof of the spay or neuter. We love to adopt seniors for seniors with a minimum of $50 for a cat and $100 for a dog.
