How Stinkin' Cute Am I?
Fred was born about March 27, 2016 and will probably top out about 15 lbs. He came to us because his human mother moved out and left the pets with the husband who was not home enough to properly care for them. Fred has grown up with children and is good with other dogs and cats alike. He has been wonderful with all of us, but is the typical personality of the breed(s) and may be somewhat aloof at first meeting and require some warm up time. He is just adorable! We were told Dad was a Besenji and Mom was a Lab, but we are struggling with the Lab part of the story and did the best we could guessing at breed. He is cute, funny, and loving whatever he may be! We do want to warm you that many of these tiny dogs do struggle with house training and may benefit from having a potty floor pad handy when they just can't hold it any longer. Also, Fred SMILES!!!! So, don't be alarmed if he shows you his teeth - he's only smiling. We are giving Fred Cerenia for car sickness. He seems to be OK on short trips, but the two hour ride in the truck stacked with crates, is too much for him. The Adoption Fee for this dog is $325.00.
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES
We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.
Our primary goals here at Joyful Rescues are to re-home pets and save them from becoming homeless in the future, educate the public on pet care and spaying/neutering to control the pet overpopulation, to spay/neuter every pet before they leave us and spay/neuter as many pets, belonging to the public, as possible within our means.
