I certainly live up to my name, I'm sweet as pie, maybe even sweeter! Let's spend some time together and I know you will fall in love with me. I was in a loving foster home for a couple of weeks to give me a break from the kennel and help learn more about me in a home. Here is the wonderful update they sent about me!
I wanted to let you know that Sweetie Pie is doing well and seems to be enjoying her stay at Camp Hutchins. It is truly remarkable how much she has warmed to the idea of family, becoming more and more affectionate and being truly excited to see each member when he/she enters the room. Except for Ellie, she just completely ignored everyone at first, but by the second day she was wanting to be petted and would get upset when someone left the room. She has also done well with guests we have had visit, although those have been very controlled situations.

She is eating well, hasn't had accidents in the house, and had a bath (which she really enjoyed). Getting along with our dogs has been a mixed bag. Our boxer would really like to have some rambunctious play time with Sweetie, but Sweetie has thus far been content with just hanging out together rather than romping around. However, Sweetie has been getting more adventuresome and seems to be getting more willing to engage in physical play, so maybe they will be roughhousing together before long.

Our Adoption Process...

We ask potential adopters to fill out a matchmaker form. When they are ready to adopt an animal and the form and interview process indicates a good match, we have the adopter sign an adoption contract promising that the animal will receive good physical and emotional care. Fees vary and we often have adoption specials. Fees for senior pets are sponsored. Otherwise, dogs are $100, puppies $150 and up, cats are $75, kittens are $95.
