Astro was a stray to the people who are now his fosters and he is very grateful that they were kind enough to help him.  He is recovering from flea dermatitus and is looking good with love and good care.

Astro is about 4-5 years old and a sweetheart. He is great around other dogs and even tolerates cats. Astro is housetrained, neutered, and UTD on his vaccines and HW negative. His hobbies are jogging, riding in the car and lounging in a stream. He is super friendly and affectionate along with a calm disposition.  Astro's current weight is 52 so he is a great size for a wonderful addition to the family.  Who could ask for anything more? Astro will require a fence to keep him safe.  His adoption fee is $125.  Call 837-0521 or 644-9747 for more information.

About New Digs for Dogs

About Our Rescue Group...

Our agency has over 50 years of combined experience volunteering with rescues and shelters and we have excellent resources for helping dogs to find their best home yet and their last home -- forever! There is no better reward than a dog meeting his new family for the first time and knowing he has at last found a real home. When we receive pictures of him months later with a relaxed face or having fun...that's motivation to keep doing what we love...we're selfish that way!

We foster all of our dogs in great homes until the day they are ready to meet their new owners.

Our dogs are current on all vaccines and will be spayed or neutered prior to going to their new digs. We always try to do home visits to make sure our dog is the best choice for a potential adopter and we do check references! We want to make sure our pups are placed in an environment conducive to their needs and will fit into your lifestyle. Most times we do require a fenced yard but we have made exceptions for the right home. Contact us for an adoption application and we'll be happy to dig one out for you.

We are a registerd non-profit.

Our Adoption Process...

We require a potential adopter to complete an application that includes vet references and information on the type of dog owner you have been in the past. Most times we require a fenced yard as most our dogs have been strays and we want them to remain in secure loving forever homes. We do home visits when possible. We also reserve the right to refuse an adopter that we feel might not be a good match for a particular dog.

Our adoption fee is normally $125, however, there are times when it might be higher.
