Everett's Story...
Heya there friends! Wahooo I'm just so excited about this wild ride they call life! Any fellow, high-flying exercise-loving people out there looking for a new playmate? Well then we should talk. At only 2 years old, I am still in those teenage years. On top of that, I'm a Plott hound, and true to my hound nature I have energy to spare. I'm also a master at following scent-trails and serenading my friends with my soulful, hound bay. There are a few things that can help me slow down and take it easy. For instance, I adore chest scratches. Rub my chest and I will lean in to beg for more with my big brown eyes. I'll tell you what catches my attention most of all though- food! Whether it's jerky treats or just plain old dog chow, there is nothing that makes me happier than a good snack. This food motivation should really help with my training as well. That said, because I still am an active young man with a few manners left to learn, I would do best in a home without very young children (5 and up). When it comes to other dogs, I enjoy their company, especially if they're just as playful as I am. just make sure to arrange a play-date if you have other pups in the home. Well that's all folks! Why not meet me today?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Everett, a Harrisonburg Plott Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Plott Hound for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Plott Hound dog from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Plott Hound breeders who help with Plott Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
