Zachary's Story...
I'm Zachary, and my story starts off scary! I ended up in a semi truck loaded with equipment. I traveled from Winter Haven to Tampa, survived the trip and the off load of the truck. Yup, I was one lucky boy! I was so scared, but guess what? I ran right up to a St Francis volunteer! So I went to a foster home and got a bath-sure felt good to be all clean, I was totally covered in dirt! Some good food to eat and lots of love. Now I am getting ready for my forever home. I am little, but already a lap cat (and shoulder cat too:) Are you looking for a cuddly kitten to call your own? Then come meet me! I do get lonely if I am all by myself so a forever home with other nice kitties to play with would be best, or with my buddy Angel.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zachary, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
