My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

THIS IS A COURTESY LISTING. ADR is not responsible for the health, temperament, behavior or placement of this dog. Listings are done at the request of the dog's owner and as an outreach and community service in hopes of finding these dogs a loving, stable forever home. Placement decisions are made solely at the discretion of the owner, and not Austin Dog Rescue. Owners are required to ask for an adoption fee from adopters.

This is the information that we received from Luna's family:

Luna is a 1 ½ year old Spaniel mix who's 44 lbs. She is spayed, micro-chipped and up-to-date on all vaccinations. She has environmental allergies, but can take generic allergy medicine daily with the right dosage.

Personality: She’s very energetic, and loves to run and play fetch. She can be shy at first towards strangers, but can warm up to them quickly. She is super affectionate, and loves to cuddle and give hugs. She is an angel at home, and almost always by your side, acts calm when in restaurants and plays well with kids. She’s very intelligent, and learns new commands quickly. She’s completed beginning and intermediate training, and knows "sit," "stay," "bang," "heel," "wait," "come," "get in the tub," "go to bed," "drop it" and "leave it." She is potty-trained/housebroken, and does well with bike rides, hiking, running, swimming, etc. She loves other dogs, going to the dog park and playing chase with them. She has shown some signs of separation anxiety, but could be crate-trained.

The hope is to find a family or individual with a spacious yard, and preferably another medium-large dog that is 5 years or younger, or at least energetic enough to play with her.

Luna is a very well-behaved, lovable, smart and an amazing dog. The owner is devastated to have to give her up, but has a very hectic schedule, and isn’t home enough to give her all the love and exercise she needs. A small re-homing fee will apply, and all her belongings will be included.
