Ariel's Story...
Hi, my name is Ariel. I am a beautiful, glossy-coated all-black kitty. I am looking for my forever home with a family that will enjoy my super loving and affectionate nature. I like to play at times but also really love just sitting in your lap. I am super friendly with all humans. I have been around small and large dogs, and once I had a day to get used to them I got along great with all of them. I have always been around kids and would do well in a home either with or without children. Because of allergies, my former family can’t keep me anymore. That makes them sad, but they know I love being around people and they want me to have a home where I can mingle freely with everyone and show my affection by snuggling up close to them. They say I’m the best tempered cat they ever had and will make my new forever family so happy.

I just had a wellness check in August 2016 and am in perfect health, although a little husky at 15 lb. More to love, that’s what I say.

Ariel was born December 2010. She is spayed, up to date on all her vaccines, and tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ariel, a Merrifield Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Merrifield, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Merrifield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Merrifield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Merrifield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Merrifield paves the way for another one to be saved.
