Meet Jonas!
Jonas is a gorgeous energetic Boxer/Ridgeback mix. He’s a young boy at approx. 2 years of age. He is an active loving boy who would love an outdoorsy active family. Jonas loves all dogs both big and small but because he does like hard at times, he would be best suited with a playmate at least his own size. Jonas seems to take a little longer to warm up to men but he absolutely will in time with love and kindness. We believe this has something to do with his background which is unknown .You see Jonas was found on the streets with stitches still intact from a neuter. He was rescued and taken to a vets office where they discovered he was chipped. The owner was called but they choose not to take him back by not responding to the calls from the vets office. He then remained 7 months in a cage at the vets office and that's where we stepped in to rescue himl!. Jonas is highly intelligent and was a fantastic dog from day one but after all the training his foster put him he was even better. He learned basic commands and manners and in no time we felt he was ready to be placed. He was then adopted but he has been . given up after 4 months. Jonas was not happy with the situation he was placed in obviously and the other dogs in the home never accepted him in to their pack Leaving Jonas on his own when it came to being part of the pack in the home.. Jonas is a good boy and he wants to be friends with all the dogs he meets so obviously this wasn't a good fit for him.

Jonas is crate trained and enjoys relaxing in his crate especially after playtime. Jonas enjoys long walks and walks great on a leash, no pulling or tugging at all. Jonas also loves the dog park where he gets to meet and play with all kinds of dogs. He is a bit shy of new people but will warm up to you if you give him a lot of love. You will also become Jonas best friend if you give him belly rubs. Jonas is a complete sweetheart that has been through a lot and it's time he find a home where he will be fore the rest of his life. He is a gorgeous boy and so deserving of someone's love.

About Our Rescue Group...

I've worked long and hard the past 6 years I have lived here in Tx... I've supported and helped many animals who do not have a voice of their own. I have seen many situations that animals find themselves in, through no fault of their own... Be it shelters, the streets, or just irresponsible owners, I have stepped up and backed them, since they cannot speak for themselves.
Animals are my PASSION in life... True, I cannot save them all, but I will do everything in my power to save as many as I can from unnecessary euthanization.

I am appalled at how easy it has become for many shelters to kill animals for nothing more than space. Just to fill up to capacity, then, kill another large number to make space for more animals they take is a vicious cycle....I am here to be a best friend to the ones who cannot speak.. Who through no fault of their own, are placed on a shelter euthanasia list and killed...... I will be there for them, every step of the way. I am the voice they do not have, and I promise to try to help save as many as I can, from certain death. I want to make a difference in the life of these animals. We are all they have. Step up and join me in the fight. Foster, volunteer, adopt a shelter animal...I need you to help me, so we can help them!

I'll try my best to help you find that new addition to your family. Their only hope, is being adopted by someone JUST LIKE YOU, someone who will step up to adopt them, and give them a brand new start in life..

Harboed Souls Rescue is a fully licensed non-profit 501c3 organization, with the state and government.

Join me in helping the animals, who cannot help themselves. The ones who do not have a voice, the ones who rely on us to save them. The ones who rely on us to give them life once again...

Together we can help to save these animals who have the right to live!!

I take great pride in my rescues and adore each one of them. They are placed individually in foster homes and are treated with lots of TLC after being rescued. They get only the best of care in their foster homes until the day they go to their forever homes. HARBORED SOULS RESCUE LOVES THEIR RESCUE BABIES!
