I am already neutered, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.
Dear Previous Owner,
I know you forgot about me moments after the last time you saw me, you didn’t see me as a living being, you saw me as a piece of property that could be thrown out. You let me suffer out in the back yard with no food or water and grass that was overgrown. You didn’t get me the medical attention I needed. You could of gotten me help but you chose to ignore me. Somehow I didn’t let this change my opinion on humans. I was happy when Indianapolis Animal Care and Control showed up and freed me from my prison. They took me back to a place with lots of other dogs and poked and prodded me, trying to figure out why my back legs weren’t synced with my front legs and giving me my necessary shots. It was scary. Instead of giving up on me because of my legs, volunteers came and loved on me and took me on long walks. They also put me on a list to find me someone who could help me, a rescue. I was on my last day at the shelter, they were going to have to euthanize for space because so many people were abandoning their animals and there was no space left. I got rescued. I got a second chance. Now I will be pampered like I always deserved, I will get the medical attention I need, I will be allowed to sleep on a pile of fluffy blankets inside instead of sleeping outside. I just wanted you to know I was fine. I got saved, I lived, I’m going to live a long and happy life.
Ollie is ready for his furever home! He has had his heartworms treated and his walking has gotten so much better, he will still have a little wobble to his walk but it's just who he is! If you are looking for a loveable, easy going dog to join your family Ollie is your guy! He loves walks and gets along with dogs of all sizes. He has not been around cats but I am sure he would make friends with them. Ollie is about 10 years old and is a pit bull mix. If you're ready for love, this is your guy! Note: Ollie would prefer to not have to take stairs at his new home on a daily basis :)
