Ada's Story...
Ada is a 6 year old Jack Russell that was rescued from a puppy mill in Lancaster Pennsylvania. She has been spayed and is up-to-date on all of her vaccinations, Heartworm negative and is currently on flea and tick medication. Ada is a little shy when you first meet her, but it doesn't take her long to warm up to you. She's a little more hesitant with men. She is learning her manners, and we're working on a few basic commands. I recommend she be in a home with older children because she tends to jump when she wants something. She also pulls on your clothes if she wants what you have. She is definitely food motivated. Ada is almost house trained. If you keep her on a good schedule she'll be fine. She has never really lived in a house before so she must be supervised. She is crate trained, and we're working on leash training which she is doing very well. Ada loves toys, especially squeaky balls. She also jumps up and nips your legs if she wants to play. She is not being mean, she's trying to get your attention. We are working on correcting this behavior. She gets along great with other dogs. She does not like cats. Ada is not a high energy Jack Russell. She loves to sit next to you and get belly rubs, she loves her ears rubbed. She is a real sweetheart who would make a wonderful addition to your family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ada, a Blue Bell Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Blue Bell, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Blue Bell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Blue Bell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Blue Bell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Blue Bell paves the way for another one to be saved.
