Midnight and Sophie came to Gentle Touch as terrified little kittens, hiding everywhere. But now after months with a very patient and caring foster, Sophie and Midnight are social with humans and seek out attention. This is a great story of how far cats can come from unknown background, to being lovely companion cats. The foster says:

'Midnight is very shy at first, but once he gets to know you he is an extremely cuddly. Really likes to play tag with his sister and hang out on your lap with any opportunity. Loves to follow you around to see what you are up to and 'grumbles' like a little old man when he is happy. He especially enjoys cheek rubs and lots of attention. He is very much worth the effort of earning his trust '

' Getting adopted together (Sophie and Midnight) would probably be best.  I don't know that either is going to get much better (socially) than they are - the boy never hides anymore (unless company) and the girl is always out ready to meet folks.  They are still quite bonded and play tag and wrestle all the time.  They would be very good cats to go to someone who knows how to interact with cats - a family with kids/dog would probably scare them and they may regress.

Once they accepted me, even though it took the better part of 3 months, they follow me everywhere.  Love to sit on my lap and run around my feet.  They are very good cats now. '
We are looking for a home for these two little ones who is understanding of how long it can take a cat to get used to a new environment and who would be a loving home to this brother and sister pair.  Please contact Megan ( or Holly ( for more information on these little ones.
