I'm in foster care!

Like all sidekicks, I'm just plain good company. I like attention, and I also like my solitude. I don't go looking for trouble but I'm no scaredy-cat, either. If you are looking for a steady companion to travel with you on the road of life, look no further.

Notes from the foster: Overall, Kalzoo seems quite comfortable in the house. She had no problem with the stairs. She's very warm and cuddly. Occasionaly she can get a bit overstimulated so it's important to pay attention to her signals. She especially likes to cuddle up in bed with us which we adore!

If you are interested in meeting Kalzoo please contact our foster coordinator Kaitlyn at to set up a meeting.

About The Maryland SPCA

About Our Shelter...

The Maryland SPCA connects wonderful pets to loving owners. We are not affiliated with any national animal organization, and we do not receive any government or United Way funding. Our mission is to prevent cruelty and neglect of animals through fostering the humane relationship between animals and people. We operate primarily in the Greater Baltimore Metropolitan area.

To make sure that our dogs and cats do not contribute to the pet overpopulation problem, every one is spayed or neutered before going into a new home. The cost is included in the adoption fee, as are the costs of shots and other necessary care. In addition, a free Positive Pooch class is available to our dog adopters.

There is no set time limit for how long an animal can remain in our adoption program. As long as an animal maintains general good health and a sound temperament, we keep him or her until adopted. We pride ourselves on providing premium care to the animals in a clean, pleasant environment. Our adoption staff works diligently to pair up adopters with the best animal match for their homes and lifestyles.

We transport animals from other shelters to our adoption center to help more animals get adopted. We also help pet owners find new homes for their pets so their animals don’t need to enter shelter care.
