My story

Due to state laws regarding out of state adoptions, we cannot adopt to families in Massachusetts or Rhode Island.

Yakko hopes that you pick him to be the next member of your family! He is approximately 4 months old and is a super sweet pup. He can be shy at times, but warms up quickly especially when offered a treat. He was found with his siblings barely alive stranded in a creek. He, Wakko, and Dot had managed to crawl up to a hole in the creek bank, but could not get any farther. They had survived by eating rocks and grass. We want him to find a family where he never has to go hungry again. He is currently being fostered in Mississippi and will be transported via PETS transport services upon adoption. His adoption fee is $400 and includes neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, a nose to tail vet check, and transport costs.

Second Chances is a rescue organization based out of Pontotoc, Mississippi which adopts dogs and puppies all over the Northeastern United States. All of our dogs and puppies are kept in private foster homes in Mississippi until adopted. Our dogs are NEVER in a facility.
