My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET OTIS !!
(Please read his description carefully before inquiring) Thank you.

Otis is a 16 month old Old English Bulldog. He is what some people consider a "mini" Bulldog at 49 lbs. This guy is just adorable and sweet in every way imaginable. Great with kids and adults. Great with other dogs big or small, male or female. Otis is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all vaccines including rabies. He is a non-barker, 90% housebroken, 100% crate trained. Runs in his crate on his own and gives a high five for a treat or some praise.
Otis fosters with both male and female Mastiffs and has no issues with them. Nor do they have any with him. His best friend is a male Neapolitan Mastiff and a female Boston Terrier/French Bulldog/Pit Bull mix and a male German Shepherd.
Otis was brought to the East Valley Animal Care and Control Center (one of our city's kill shelters) His owner could not afford his double cherry eye surgeries and he thought he could sell the dog to the shelter for $300 claiming he was worth $2,500. It doesn't matter what his "value" is or what he paid. City and or county shelters can not, and do not buy dogs.
They do however have an intervention program for owner surrenders and relinquished pets. But the team was not there that day. The shelter staff called my rescue (I'm a few blocks away), and I went then and purchased Otis for the $300. He wouldn't go any lower. And Otis is his real name from when the owner got him as a puppy so we kept it.
We then took Otis to our eye specialist and had both his cherry eyes tucked and all his ectopic hairs removed.
Otis is not special needs and has no health issues. But will only be placed in a home that fits the following criteria:
1) You must have prior or current English or French Bulldog experience. We prefer a home with another bully breed for Otis to play with.
2) Otis must be kept on a grain-free limited ingredient food. He has no allergies or skin issues now. But will develop them on the wrong food. Right now he is on Nature's Domain Salmon & Sweet Potato formula. He loves it and is a great eater. He needs to stay off any chicken formulas and any wheat or grains.
3) Otis has a very extreme facial fold/flap above his nose that needs to be cleaned out a few times a week with Mal-A-Ket wipes or something else like rubbing alcohol, witch hazel, or any another anti-fungal/anti-bacterial wipes. After being cleaned out, extra strength Desitin is then applied to keep the fold clean and dry.
Please reply with information about yourself, bully experience, family, your home, other pets and or children in the house, lifestyle and activity level.
Otis's adoption fee is $600

Please do NOT e-mail us your phone number, you will NOT be called. Questions and inquires are answered via e-mail only.
Please read everything below, most of your questions may be answered in our description.
All dogs in our program are up to date on all their shots, dewormed, licensed, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. Also included is a free health check by our licensed veterinarian. The dogs that come out of our program are very well socialized when they leave, both with people, and other dogs. It is up to the new owners to maintain this. All of our dogs, young and old are crate trained. This gives the new owner a head start for house breaking, and to curb any separation anxiety and or destructive behavior. Most of our dogs are in foster homes and we are able to tell you lots about each of their personalities. We do not place dogs on a first come first serve basis, but rather to the home best suited for them. An adoption fee, application, and contract are required. Please direct all questions to smashfacerescue911@yahoo. All our dogs can be seen 7 days a week by appointment ONLY. We are located in Van Nuys 91405. If you are interested in setting up a day and time please send us an e-mail.

Thank you in advance,
