Petey's Story...
Petey the Swetey here! Just a lil chap looking for love, laughter, and a forever home. I am one adorable gentleman, 65 pounds of pure personality. Fun, affectionate, and a total tease. You just won’t be able to get enough of me! I love to play with other dogs, get along great with cats, and enjoy the gentle affection of sturdy & respectful children 6+ too, but nothing makes me happier than hanging with my peeps…except maybe snugglin’ under the covers. I am crate trained already, housebroken too, which is a pretty great start... but I sure would like to learn anything else you want to teach me…maybe I could even learn how to properly spell the word “swetey”? Wouldn’t that be cool…Petey the Swetey the Pitty mix with grammar skills galore! Even if I can’t spell worth a darn, I’m still a total score! 1 year old-65lbs. My adoption fee is $220 and includes neuter, microchip & registration, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, reduced-cost training class, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Petey, a Portland Pit Bull Terrier/Mastiff dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier/Mastiff for sale in Portland, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier/Mastiff dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier/Mastiff breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier/Mastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
