Facts about Gemma (Amanda)

  • Breed: Rhodesian Ridgeback Mix
  • Color: White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Unknown
  • Sex: Female
  • ID#: ps_20310952

Gemma is a strikingly beautiful 2 year old female Rhodesian Ridgeback/hound mix, weighing about 60 lbs. She is sleek and very athletic and needs a generous amount of exercise to keep her happy and relaxed. She is a phenomenal running partner and runs daily with her foster mom. Gemma gets along well with all dogs, big and small. We are not sure of her previous living environment, but Gemma can be somewhat shy and easily startled.  For this reason we are hoping for a more peaceful adult only home, since children's activity and noise level seem to make her nervous. Gemma is perfectly house-trained and crate-trained and has excellent house manners.  She is extremely smart and obedient and knows all basic commands. Please contact us if you think you can provide this sweet girl with the forever home she deserves!

About Spotty Dog Rescue, Inc

About Our Rescue Group...

FOSTER-BASED

All of our dogs are housed in loving foster homes until their forever family finds them.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT:

To provide safe harbor, medical care and love for adoptable dogs that have been abused, abandoned and neglected until they are placed into loving, responsible permanent homes; to decrease the need for senseless destroying of dogs by educating the public about the benefits of spaying & neutering; to build a community where people value animals and treat them with respect and kindness; to promote respect for life, responsible pet ownership and to encourage the higher ideals of compassion towards animals and people through education and example.

OUR COMMITMENT

Prior to adoption, each dog is spayed or neutered, receives a comprehensive veterinary examination and appropriate tests and inoculations. We conduct a thorough screening of all potential adopters to ensure the best possible match between healthy dogs and adoptive homes. We make a lifetime commitment to all of our rescued dogs. Our mission does not end with adoption. We follow up with advice, support and appropriate resources to assure a successful integration of each dog into his or her new home.
