Penny's Story...
Penny is 17 weeks old (as of 8/24/16) and weighs 2.55lbs! This girl is TINY and oh so cute! Just look at that face!!! Penny bonds easily with people and is very protective of her person (or "her" dog) once she has claimed them. She is very playful and loving and is puppy pad trained. She is a big talker (aka barker!) when she meets new people/dogs or is in a new situation. If you are interested in adding Penny to your family, please go to www.goofyfootrescue.org to complete an online adoption application. Penny is being fostered in West TN and will be transported once her adoption is finalized.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Penny, a Southington Chihuahua/Pomeranian puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Pomeranian for sale in Southington, or seeking a Chihuahua/Pomeranian puppy from a breeder in Southington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Southington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Southington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Pomeranian breeders who help with Chihuahua/Pomeranian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Southington paves the way for another one to be saved.
