Mamma Mia's Story...
Mamma Mia has been working hard this summer, in a FOTA foster home, where she nursed her litter of puppies and then mothered several orphan pups who were in need of some canine TLC. Now Mamma Mia has finally made it to the Dog Adoption House, and she's ready and waiting to find a forever family to call her own!
At barely 2 years old, this vivacious gal is still a youth herself, so she's ready to bond with a loving, forever owner, who can give her the all the care and attention that she so richly deserves.
Mamma Mia has a beautifully curled tail and a gentle disposition, and she recently weighed-in at a gorgeous 42 pounds. For more information about meeting or adopting Mamma Mia, please contact martarichards@gmail.com, or just stop by the Dog Adoption House, 8476 Highland Road and ask for our lovely and lively, red-haired Mamma! All dogs adopted through Friends of the Animals are current on vaccinations, microchipped, and spayed or neutered prior to adoption. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mamma Mia, a Baton Rouge Retriever (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Retriever (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
