Kit Kat
Domestic Shorthair, born in May 2016, Brown Tabby, Spayed female
I'm very affectionate and fun and even though I'm still young I am going to turn out to be a fabulous cat. I like to get in my playtime, but then will come curl up on my blanket once I've had my fun. I really like having another cat to play with, so I'd love a home where there's already a playful kitty.

Adoption Information:
Kit Kat should go to a home with another playful cat.
Cats: Yes
Dogs: Unknown
Kit Kat is microchipped, spayed, and has had a full veterinary checkup and vaccines.

Our Adoption Process...

Adoption Fees:
-Dogs and puppies: $250
-Cats and kittens: $150
-Two cats or kittens (bonded pair price): $175
-Senior pets: $75 (dogs 8 and older, cats 10 and older)
An additional $50 deposit for unneutered or unspayed animal is collected until proof of alteration can be provided.

We only adopt to homes in the Chicagoland area.

Our fees include a full medical exam by a veterinarian. This includes a Feline Leukemia and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) test for cats, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, deworming and Spay/Neuter. Dogs receive a Heartworm Check, Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper Vaccines, Canine Flu Vaccine, deworming, and Kennel Cough preventative.

Our modest adoption fees do not cover the procedures and vet work that we provide the animals. We fundraise to make up the difference. Any ongoing medical needs that C.A.R.E. is aware of are explained fully, (including daily medicine costs), to the potential adopter, and become the responsibility of the adopter.

Our adoption process has evolved from many years of experience. The goal of our adoption counselors is to make a good match between animal and family. We get to know each cat or dog's unique personality and different needs. If a specific dog, for example, has large amounts of energy and needs lots of space to run, it is unlikely that he would meet the needs of a person who works long hours and would be unable to exercise the dog. It would be a mismatch that would be bad for dog and human alike. Our adoption counselors look forward to working with you to help you find the right pet for your home.
