Hi - I'm Liam! I am a handsome devil with a full bushy tail. You'll have a hard time not petting me all the time because I'm super soft. I'm not a lap cat but I will lay next to you on the couch and, of course, I'll snuggle in at night next to my human in bed. I like people a lot but it takes me a minute to warm up to them. Dogs are OK too.

I enjoy playing with toys but I really like to play with other cats. The best toys are the ones that swing around on a string or things that I can prance around with in my mouth.

Because I like to play & be with other cats so much, I'll do best with an active self assured cat sibling or two. My sister, Pebbles, would be a good option. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at http://caws.org/html/adoption_application.html

About Community Animal Welfare Society

About Our Rescue Group...

Founded in 1992 the Community Animal Welfare Society ( CAWS) is one of the oldest no-kill animal rescues in Utah. Over the last 20 years CAWS, our fosters and supporters have saved thousands of lives including over 600 last this year. As the largest foster home network in the state of Utah we focus on high risk pets in need of additional care and rehabilitation

Come Meet Our Pets...

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.

Our Adoption Process...

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.
