Description:    Black and White

TINA is a sweet, well-mannered kitty who loves being the center of attention. She likes hanging out with her foster family and needs a home where people are around a good part of the day. Tina gets too lonely when left alone for long periods of time.

Tina loves rubbing against your legs in hopes of a good petting. Tina has a loud purr motor and enjoys gently batting her toys around the house - especially strings and hair ties. When she sees you enter the room, Tina lets out an adorable chirp and looks up at you, waiting for some attention.

This adorable kitty loves being picked up and often follows you around when she wants to be held. Tina loves napping on her cat tree, but at night she always comes to sleep snuggling by your side. A talkative kitty, Tina meows when you leave the house and welcomes you back when you're home.

Tina enjoys looking out the window, watching the activities outside. She would be a great addition to a family without other pets.

Tina came into our care from a local shelter with a litter of adorable kittens.

About SPCA of Northern Virginia

About Our Rescue Group...

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Northern Virginia is a non-profit, all-volunteer, private organization established by local concerned citizens to rescue domestic animals from cruelty, neglect, and abandonment. We receive all our funding from membership dues, donations, and fundraising events. We are always striving to enlarge our animal rescue operations and expand our services to the community. Our voluntary Board of Directors, committee members, and volunteers are responsible for all SPCA activities. We do not have a shelter facility, and depend on foster parents to care for domestic animals until adoption.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our dogs are available to meet at twice monthly adoption events in Fairfax, VA.

Our cats are available to meet you in their foster homes
by appointment weeknights or weekends.

Our Adoption Process...

Please read our cat adoption guidelines (at We put a lot of financial and emotional support into our cats and want them placed in homes where they will be members of the family for the rest of their lives. Indoor cats, with care, can live up to 20 years. Not everyone agrees with all of our guidelines. Please read our explanations and talk to our volunteers. If you disagree with us, we suggest you adopt a cat from a different source such as a local shelter. When you adopt a cat from us, you must sign a legal contract stating that you will comply with our guidelines. The adoption fee is $150 for one cat and $250 for two.

For those interested in cat adoptions, all potential adopters must read our adoption guidelines (available on our website at, then meet the cat in person either at an Adoption Fair or in their foster home. We take applications only after you've met the cat and we both feel it's a good match.

All adopters interested in adopting a dog must meet the dog in person, and submit an application. A housecheck is done, and references are checked. If approved, the dog will be placed in the home for a two-week trial period, to make sure that it is a good "fit" for both people and dog. If it is, the adoption is finalized and the adoption fee is paid. We do not adopt outside of the Washington DC metro area.
