Spanky's Story...
Spanky, DSH Neutered male gray tabby. All Vaccines current. Est. DOB 3/30/16
Spanky and the rest of the litter of 5 kittens were rescued from a dangerous area with their Mom when they were quite small. He’s a playful frisky fellow who like other cats, gets along fine with Cat Friendly Dogs and children. He’s an active little boy and has a lot of self-confidence for a kitten his age. He would prefer a home where he isn’t alone, one with other kitties, maybe a kitty friendly puppy and a gentle little boy or girl to be his BFF. Of course he likes the grownups too. He like most kittens will do best where he gets attention and isn’t left all by himself a lot. This little boy is sponsored by Partners for Cats, so he is absolutely priceless. He’s living with Jean in the So. Mtn. area and to adopt him you need to fill out an application and tell her how well you will treat him. Jean’s number is 828-437-8769.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spanky, a Morganton Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Morganton, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Morganton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Morganton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Morganton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Morganton paves the way for another one to be saved.
