Patty's Story...
Patty is one smart cookie. She knows “sit” and “lay down” and is learning other commands like “roll over” while she waits to find her forever home. She really wants to please people and is so happy when the volunteers take her out. Even though she might initially be a bit jumpy, she is not hyper and calms down after she gets a chance to exercise a bit. She loves affection and is a classy lady. Going for walks is a favorite for her. Patty is 8 and has been at the shelter since July 31st. PATTY - ID#A404681.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Patty, a Santa Maria Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Santa Maria, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Santa Maria.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Maria already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Maria breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Maria paves the way for another one to be saved.
