AMIYAH ~ She is a chiweenie mix just over a year old and weighs 19 lbs. She was frightened in the shelter and not able to be examined "unable to handle/very nervous" and then labeled as rescue only. DRLA did not hesitate to step in during her final hour to bail her out. We knew the shelter enviroment was too much for her. She deserved a chance and we didn't hesitate to save her even without a foster.
She is shy, timid and cautious at first but warms up fairly quickly. She needs to feel safe and estsblish trust and then you can see a more confident and happy girl. Amiyah is house trained which is always a plus.
If you are interested in meeting her please complete an adoption application and indicate your interest in Amiyah since her foster lives in a remote area and will not be able to attend every event. We can always set up a private meet and greet.
Once your application has been processed and you passed your home safety check you will be pre-approved.
