About Our Rescue Group...

Partners for Animal Welfare Society, Inc. or P.A.W.S. is a 501(c)(3) entity and an Indiana not-for-profit corporation operating solely in Hancock County, Indiana. Our mission is to promote animal welafare through humane education and pet population control. Education is the cornerstone of all we do. Our programs include a foster pet program, a pet food pantry for low income pet owners, low cost spay/neuter programs and assistance, off-site adoption events for our foster pets and animal control shelter pets, and our classroom humane education programs.

We are always in need of temporary foster homes for both dogs and cats and kittens! We also need gently used or new LARGE size wire crates, cat litter [both scoopable and unscoopable], dry Purina kitten food, Frontline Plus flea preventative for all sizes of dogs and for cats, paper towels, and, of course, CASH OR CHECK DONATIONS OR GIFT CARDS TO WAL-MART OR PETSMART.

Donations help defray the costs of providing necessary veterinary care, shelter and food for the homeless pets in our care. Donations are tax deductible.
