Nemo is a very sweet boy whose favorite thing is to be around humans. He has times of being playful but is most content just being near his fosters. Whether that is hanging out on the patio or just relaxing and watching tv. He gets along well with dogs larger and smaller than him. He eats his meals everyday around 3 other dogs and shows no signs of food aggression, nor is he aggressive over toys, treats, etc.. He has a cat foster sister who he does very well around. After some work in his foster home, he now willingly goes into his crate and does very well while his foster family is at work. He knows basic commands and is completely potty/house trained. He loves kids and has proved it by allowing 2 toddlers to crawl and tumble on top of him. Nemo is getting over some separation anxiety and progressing every day. If left in the back yard alone- he will jump the fence to go look for his humans. He will most likely be found sitting at the front door when this happens. Nemo is a very smart, easily trained baby boy. He is just looking for the perfect family to give all his love and loyalty to!
Every year thousands of animals are euthanized or sent home to die because the people who love them cannot afford the cost of veterinary care. Stray and abandoned animals have even fewer options when they are brought into a clinic or veterinary office with no owner to pay for their care.
At The Bella Foundation, we believe that every animal should receive the best possible care regardless of the owner's ability to pay. When an owner brings an animal into a clinic for care and cannot afford the cost, the attending veterinarian can contact The Bella Foundation for assistance. If assistance is given, the owner must agree to volunteer at least 8 hours of their time at a local animal shelter. Stray or abandoned animals are cared for with no stipulation attached.
The Bella Foundation takes the placement of animals in homes very seriously and our goal is to do everything possible to match the right animal with the right animal. Our adoption application can be found on our website.
