Meet Oreo! Oreo is a wonderful four-year-old cat looking for a home where he will be loved and treasured. He arrived to Wags as a stray cat, but his personality tells us that he is a true family pet. Oreo is happiest in a lap being cuddled and petted. He even loves to be cradled like a baby with his tummy rubbed.  Oreo has a lovely purr to let you know he is thankful for the affection. Oreo also loves to chase a feather wand or bat around a toy mouse. He has a playful streak between his pets and cat naps. When no one is available to snuggle or play, Oreo loves to look out windows and doze off in his cat tree. Oreo is in a foster home with young children and does beautifully with them. He is used to being carried by little hands. Like most cats, Oreo might be shy when meeting potential adopters, but he is not shy around his home at all. He likes to be the center of the chaos. Oreo does not currently interact with other dogs and cats, but we think he would do fine as long as he has a nice, slow introduction to ease him into new friendships. Oreo is suspected to have feline herpes, a virus that occasionally causes cold symptoms like sneezing or a runny nose. Most of the time, the virus is dormant, and Oreo has not needed medical care for this. Feline herpes is not contagious to humans or dogs. It could be contagious to another feline. Oreo hopes you won't hold this against him as he plans to live a long, healthy life. Oreo would love to meet you and show you what a great cat he is!
