Willet's Story...
Hi, my name is WILLET and I am a ONE year old RUSSIAN BLUE mix female with COPPER colored eyes that was recently rescued from a high kill shelter in NYC by Posh Pets. I feel lucky to be staying in a foster home where I am getting plenty of TLC. My foster mom has gotten to know me pretty well and here are some of the comments that she has made about me. “Willet is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL with her ADORABLE ragged ear and CUTE snaggletooth. She adores ATTENTION and loves when people PET her. The more petting that she gets, the better. She also get along nicely with the other cats in my house. She does give love bites though, but is easily corrected with a firm voice. Because of her KITTENISH BEHAVIOR, she is not recommended for a home with young children. If you are looking for a cat that you can lavish attention on, Willet may just be the cat for you.” I am spayed, UTD on shots, and FIV/FeLV negative.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Willet, a Long Beach Russian Blue cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Russian Blue for sale in Long Beach, or seeking a Russian Blue cat from a breeder in Long Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Long Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Long Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Russian Blue breeders who help with Russian Blue rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Long Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
