Meet Rosa! This pretty grey girl is three years old and ready to find her forever home! Rosa would love a home with a comfy cat bed and lots of kitty toys to play with, and where she can can get lots of love and affection. She also wouldn't mind a window where she can watch the world go by (and keep tabs on all the birds in the neighborhood!). Rosa can be a little shy in new environments, so she would prefer a quiet and calm home without any small children in it, but once she settles in she is affectionate and sweet, and enjoys sitting in laps. She is still a kitten at heart, and when she is feeling really happy she'll "make biscuits" and suckle on her blanket! The vet staff at KHS have diagnosed Rosa with IBD (inflammatory bowel disease) but she is responding well to a treatment plan that consists of low-dose steroid therapy and diet management. Are you looking for a lovely lady like Rosa? Ask to meet her today!

About Kitsap Humane Society

About Our Shelter...

Kitsap Humane Society is a private, nonprofit animal shelter. We rescue and rehome close to 5,000 pets each year. Every animal leaves here spayed or neutered and with complete vaccines and a microchip. We have been caring for animals in need since 1908 and envision a time when all adoptable pets have loving homes.

We are extremely proud of our exceptionally high “lives saved” rate of 94%. Through our active adoption, behavior, foster, and veterinary programs, we are able to rehome every adoptable animal that enters our facility. No animal is ever euthanized for lack of space.

In addition to caring for and adopting animals, we also provide spay/neuter services to low income residents of Kitsap County, and provide Animal Rescue and Enforcement services to our surrounding municipalities.
