Facts about Akita

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Calico Or Dilute Calico
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
Akita is an ~2-year-old DSH spayed dilute tortoiseshell who happens to be FIV+. This beauty arrived into our care after she arrived at the vet office following being mauled by a dog. The rescue paid for surgery on her neck and welcomed Akita into our care that very same day. Akita has recovered beautifully from her injury. This full grown adult tops the scale at 3.8 pounds. She's petite but brimming with life and overflowing with love. Akita LOVES belly scritches, such a cuddly wee girl. Akita does talk for attention, and she is very social. Akita enjoys the company of other felines but hasn't met another dog since the attack. Akita has not been around small children, but she is very adaptable and loves loving, tolerant of being pet every which way. Akita seeks out attention and is very food motivated.

Akita is not declawed.
