Jay is a sweet sweet boy with a huge personality. He is approximately 2-3 years old. Jay is very picky with who he will let in his inner circle. So therefore Jay needs to be adopted by someone who has experience with handling big dogs. In the beginning, Jay wanted nothing to do with human affection, people, and definitely did not want anything to do with other dogs or animals. As time went on, Jay began showing signs that he was ready for the interaction of another dog. So we put him in a pen with another pit mix she was a spayed female and they quickly became best friends. His best friend was adopted. He is such an amazing dog and would truly be awesome in a home instead of a rescue. Pictures do not do Jay justice compared to seeing him in person. He is a beautiful, loving, and extremely compassionate dog. I fully believe in my heart that someone will see him and be willing to give him the chance he deserves. He does great on a leash and loves to show off by doing a belly crawl. Jay is fully vetted and house/crate trained, and micro chipped. Rehoming fee for Jay is $175.00!

About Mercy For Paws

About Our Rescue Group...

Mercy For Paws rescues dogs that have been left behind, or are due to be euthanized in the local shelters due to space. We strive to give those dogs a second chance at forever that would not other wise get that chance.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We invite anyone anytime to come out and visit our available dogs and get to have a chance to play with them one on one or take them for a walk on a leash. We also have a pond that we welcome you to come take the dog of your choice to walk around or to play in the pond. For more detailed directions and to schedule a time to come visit, you may text or call Holly 817-565-9724.
Our number one priority is to help each dog find their forever home, so if we know that you are for sure coming, we will stay up, wake up early, basically do whatever we can within our means to be available for you to come out.

Our Adoption Process...

Mercy For Paws takes pride in our adoption process. We do require an adoption contract and adoption agreement be completed in full, home check, references, and the adoption fee to be paid in full before Mercy For Paws will release a dog to an adopter.
Our adoption fees may vary per dog depending on each dogs unique circumstance. Please keep in mind since we are a rescue, sometimes we can have dogs up to a year if not longer until they get their chance at forever. We also may have dogs who require extended medical care or treatments. We definitely do all that we can to keep the cost minimal and affordable so that each one has the prime opportunity of finding their forever. Our adoption fees do include spay, neuter, vaccines, and rabies. Some also come micro chipped as well.
