This is what his foster mom says about Hunter:
Super sweet boy but really shy at first and was a nervous pee-er. He has totally warmed up to me and is comfortable in my home. Hunter does love dogs and kitties. I have 3 cats and he doesn't even bother them at all, nor does he even acknowledge that they are even around.
He plays well with a dog his size, but is very barky at my small dog... to the point where he gets scared of him. Any other time he is good around him. My dog that is closer to his size he does play well with. For the most part he plays nice but is very vocal while playing. All of which is play and not aggression. He is all puppy and is figuring out how to play with others. An example is when my heeler chases a frisbee, Hunter wants to chase the heeler and nibble at his back.
We are working toward playing nice but like I said he is all puppy!! :) He is somewhat crate trained. He doesn't potty in the crate, but will bark for several minutes once in the crate. Sometimes he will go willing in the crate and other times he needs a treat of encouragement. He does settle down about 5-10 mins once in the crate and he has been getting better each day.
He is not 100% house trained but training him shouldn't be hard. His biggest problem is he doesn't know how to tell me he has to go out, so like any other puppy it's always outside after a nap, playing, and meal time. Hunter is great on the leash. He will however go from side to side and front to back when walking, but hardly ever pulls me around. He is going to make someone a great dog one day! I'm going to be sad to see him go when the time comes.
