Carter's Story...

Carter and his brother Cooper came from a high kill shelter in TN.  They are believed to be Great Pyrenees mixed with possibly lab.  Their size potential is unknown, but could be over 100 pounds, if they reach typical Pyrenees size.  The GP breed is a herding breed and an adopter should be aware that GP's will always need a job to do.  Right now Carter is a playful puppy and is the caretaker, making sure Cooper is always safe.  Carter is currently living with Cooper in their foster home and have two human twin 7 year old foster sisters to help care for them.  Carter is friendly and likes spending time outside.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Carter, a Nesquehoning Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever for sale in Nesquehoning, or seeking a Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Nesquehoning.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nesquehoning already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nesquehoning breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Great Pyrenees/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nesquehoning paves the way for another one to be saved.
