Ricky's Story...
Let Ricky and Lucy win your heart. This adorable brother and sister duo are up for adoption. They are playful puppies who like to be puppies so a nice play area with lots of toys will suit them well. They do well entertaining themselves but also need to have special times with long walks and evening ball fetches with their humans. They are sweet and submissive. They have had a lot of changes in their young lives and can sometimes seem timid but with lots of love that will disappear. If you are considering a pair of dogs these two are worth meeting! They are well under 20lbs each and are approximately 5-6 months old. They are completely vetted with up to date shots, microchips and altered. The adoption fee for the pair is $300 and that cost directly supports the dogs we save. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ricky, a Bakersfield Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound for sale in Bakersfield, or seeking a Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound dog from a breeder in Bakersfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bakersfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bakersfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound breeders who help with Chihuahua/Italian Greyhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bakersfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
