Phoebe's Story...
Sweet Phoebe may seem a bit shy at first but when she opens up she pours on the love and affection. She is approximately 15lbs and has a very cute look about her. She loves to play with small dogs and is good with children. Phoebee will do well in a home where she will be the star. After her rough life as a street stray that is what we want for her. We want her to be someone's #1. Phoebee loves her evening walks and is doing much better practicing her sit command. With a little attention and training this sweet girl will shine. Please give her a chance. She will be under 20lbs and very suitable for apartment living if you are a city dweller. Phoebeee's adoption fee is $200 and includes her spay, microchip and shots. We use that fee to rescue and save another dog. Please email haltrescue @gmail.com if you are interest

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Phoebe, a Bakersfield Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Bakersfield, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Bakersfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bakersfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bakersfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bakersfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
