Our rescue will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express Saturday, October 22nd from 1-4pm and Sunday, October 23rd from 12-3pm. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated and microchipped.
* If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. * We do not have a facility. All dogs live in foster homes. Arrangements to meet dogs occur after an approved application has been accepted. * We do not ship our dogs for any reason. * Our adoption fee is $400 for each dog/puppy. * If it is on a weekend of our adoptions, follow us on @DPSRescue on Twitter to get real time updates on our adoptions. We will also post at the end of the evening the names of those dogs who have been adopted: www.facebook.com/DPSRescue
This kitten will be at Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, November 5th from 1-4pm and Sunday, November 6th from 12-3pm or until adopted. However, we do meet with those who submit an application and are approved just prior to the event (by invitation only) and they are given the first opportunity to adopt. If you are interested in one of our cats or dogs, we recommend filling out an application prior to the event to be considered. Applications submitted within 24 hours of the event may not necessarily be reviewed.
Tallstar is a 4 month old kitten (born on June 25th) whose mom was pregnant at the shelter and rescued by an amazing family who has dogs, cats and kids in the house. So this litter has been well socialized but most of all well loved!
Tallstar is the dignified one of the litter. Yes, he doesn't mind if you pick him up but he likes to spend his days hanging out next to you and being your sidekick. He lives with four dogs and his preference would be to downsize that to one in his next home. He is perfectly happy to live with cats as his foster has several of their own. Did we mention they also have a pet rabbit and pet rats? Welcome to the menagerie!
Tallstar is sassy and human-oriented. He likes to meow at you when you ignore him and then he decides you have taken too long to pet him and he moves out of your reach. Oh yes, he definitely has personality. He loves to nap on his foster mom's lap. That's his favorite spot. He'd like to request that in his next home. Hello, is that you?
**Not all of our dogs go to each adoption event. We want to make sure if you are interested in a dog that we have the dog at adoptions but that can only happen if you fill out an application ahead of time and are pre-approved. (Generally this must happen prior to the weekend)
**If you are wanting to submit an application within 24 hours of an event, please print off the application and bring with you as well as submitting it. You may still submit it and if time and volunteers permit, we will contact you. Most applications submitted the weekend of adoptions are not responded to until after the adoption weekend.
